After graduating from university, I began my professional career in Japan nearly 20 years ago with a major beverage company. While engaging with Japan's culinary culture, my desire to introduce Japanese cuisine to a broader audience grew stronger, leading me to relocate to the United States in 2011.

Upon my arrival in the U.S., I initially worked for a Japanese trading company, where I was responsible for sourcing (as a buyer) various goods such as daily necessities, furniture, health foods, health devices, and electronic products from Japan.

Facing the challenges of transitioning from the perspective of a manufacturer to that of a buyer, coupled with limited language proficiency, I struggled in negotiations. Despite contemplating returning to Japan several times, I persevered, believing in my potential and leveraging my ability to consider matters from both perspectives. Over time, I began to capitalize on this strength, and the products I sourced started selling exceptionally well.

To further promote Japanese culture freely and authentically, I founded ZIPAND, INC in 2018. Currently, we distribute a range of products, including furniture, electronics, and Asian foods and ingredients, to Japanese restaurants and supermarkets in the United States and Canada.

We are committed to maintaining our dedication to the highest quality products and services, continually raising standards to achieve even greater excellence. Additionally, we aim to preserve the rich traditions of Japanese culture spanning over a century while introducing an innovative and modern Japan to the global market.
